About the Firm
Led From the Front
PrairieX Advisory, LLC is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) headquartered in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, operating as an AI-native, remote-first, distributed firm serving clients across Texas and nationwide. Where traditional consulting firms deliver recommendations and disengage, PrairieX builds programs, engineers infrastructure, and stays in the fight alongside client teams.
PrairieX was built for a moment when AI is changing both how organizations operate and the risks they have to manage. We bring strategy and engineering together under one roof. The same firm that helps leadership design a governance program also builds the technical infrastructure behind it: the integrations, automation and control frameworks that turn policy into practice. Our work covers GRC strategic advisory, AI governance, and GRC engineering, delivered through consulting engagements, fractional and embedded support, advisory retainers or focused projects, depending on what each client needs. Being AI-native means we use the same technology we help clients govern, so our advice comes from hands-on experience, not theory.
Every engagement starts with understanding where you are today, usually through a discovery workshop, a maturity review or an initial assessment. From there, we build a program that fits how your organization actually works, not a boilerplate framework you have to bend around. We check in regularly so you always know where things stand, and we’ll work inside your existing tools when that’s the best value for you. We’re vendor-agnostic, so when new tools are needed, we recommend what’s right for the job, not what we’re paid to sell.
When the work is done, you decide what comes next. If your team has the staff and the confidence to run the program, we plan a clean handoff. If you’d rather keep experienced support close, we offer ongoing retainers and fractional roles.

The PrairieX Difference
Strategy and Engineering Under One Roof
Our Culture
Built on the frontier. The frontier has always drawn a certain kind of person: someone who looks at open ground with no map and sees work to be done. That’s the spirit behind PrairieX Advisory. AI governance and GRC are still being charted. The regulations are changing, the technology moves faster than any committee can meet, and the playbooks haven’t been written yet. We don’t wait for things to settle. We head out, learn the ground and build what’s needed.
Grit and determination, without the arrogance. Governance work is rarely glamorous. It means late nights before an audit, hard talks with leadership, and the slow, careful work of building controls that hold up under pressure. We take that on with grit and determination because the stakes are real. Behind every risk register is someone protecting what they’ve built. We speak plainly. If something is hard, we say so. If something is broken, we say that too. Being direct is how we show respect.
Settlers, not cowboys. A pioneering spirit doesn’t mean being reckless. The people who shaped the frontier weren’t the ones passing through. They stayed, put down roots and built things that lasted in hard conditions. That’s how we work. We don’t hand over a roadmap and disappear. We build the program, engineer the infrastructure, and stay alongside our clients’ teams until the work holds.
Led from the front. PrairieX was founded by a U.S. Air Force veteran, and the values of service shape how we operate: mission first, accountability at every level, and leaders who do the work themselves. Every engagement is led personally by our Managing Principal, from the first conversation to the final deliverable. As we grow, we’ll look for people who share that ethic: curious enough to explore new ground, rigorous enough to build on it, and committed enough to see the work through.
Careers
Not hiring yet, but building toward it. PrairieX Advisory is early in its journey, and every engagement today is led personally by our founder. That’s on purpose. We’re laying a strong foundation before we expand. As demand grows, we’ll add employees and contractors who can help us scale without losing what makes the work matter.
Who we’ll be looking for. We want people with a pioneering spirit, who see uncharted ground in AI governance and GRC and want to be among the first to build on it. We value grit and determination over polish, and results over titles. You might be a GRC strategist, a compliance engineer, an AI governance specialist or a practitioner who has sat in the client’s chair and knows what it takes. Whatever your background, you’re curious enough to explore new territory, rigorous enough to build something that holds, and committed enough to stay until the job is done.
How we’ll work together. The frontier rewards people who take ownership. At PrairieX, you won’t be a line item on a staffing plan. You’ll work directly on meaningful problems, alongside leadership, for clients who depend on getting it right. We speak plainly, hold ourselves accountable, and build things that last.
Stay in touch. If this sounds like your kind of work, we’d like to hear from you, even before a formal opening exists. Send a short note about your background and what draws you to the frontier to scout@prairiexadvisory.com. We’ll keep it on file and reach out as opportunities come up.
